Clinical Research

Participate in clinical studies and help accelerate developments in women’s health

Biomedical and pharmaceutical companies are required to conduct clinical research trials on any new drug or device, or any new indication for a drug or device, before they can be prescribed for treatment. These research studies follow strict legal and ethical codes and are regulated by the FDA to protect the interests and welfare of study participants.

IGO Medical Group partners with many different biomedical and pharmaceutical companies to participate in cutting-edge research projects across several areas of women’s health, and IGO Medical physicians have over 15 years of experience as investigators for clinical trials. The Clinical Research Coordinators at IGO Medical serve as the points of contact for any research study patient.

We are currently enrolling pregnant subjects in sample collection studies. These blood samples are used in the development of prenatal diagnostic tests by several sponsors. If you are interested, please ask your IGO Medical physician or the laboratory staff whether you qualify.

Past studies have concerned women’s health issues such as:

  • Contraception
  • Anemia
  • Endometriosis
  • Uterine fibroids
  • Adhesions (scar tissue) that cause infertility or pain
  • Osteoporosis
  • Menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes or vaginal dryness
  • Vaginal infections
