Clinical Research At IGO
Biomedical or pharmaceutical companies must conduct clinical research trials on any new medicine or device or new indication for a medication or device before it can be released for use as a medical treatment. These research studies are regulated by the FDA and follow strict legal and ethical codes to protect the interests and welfare of the study participants.
IGO Medical Group has partnered with many different biomedical and pharmaceutical companies to participate in cutting edge research projects in several areas of women’s healthcare. IGO physicians have over 15 years of experience as investigators for clinical trials.
Past experience includes research protocols for many women’s healthcare issues, such as:
• Contraception
• Anemia
• Endometriosis
• Uterine Fibroids
• Adhesions (scar tissue) that cause Infertility or Pain
• Osteoporosis
• Menopausal Symptoms such as Hot Flushes or Vaginal Dryness
• Vaginal Infections
The Clinical Research Coordinators at IGO serve as the point of contact for any patient in a research study. If you are interested in any of our ongoing research protocols listed below, please contact Emily, one of our research coordinators, at (858) 455-1248×137 or speak to your IGO physician directly.
