Philip E. Young, M.D.
Dr. Young is one of the original founding members of IGO Medical Group. He received his training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard Medical School and the Boston Hospital for Women. He then served two years in the U.S. Navy at Long Beach, California and subsequently was on the full time medical school faculty at the University of California at San Diego. Since then, he has been in full time private practice in San Diego and is also a Clinical Professor of Reproductive Medicine at the UCSD School of Medicine. His particular interests are gynecologic surgery, infertility diagnosis and treatment, and hormone regulation in menopause. Dr. Young has written extensively on laparoscopic surgical techniques and reconstructive surgery for infertility. Frequently consulted as an expert witness in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, he has also participated as a primary investigator in several research studies. Dr. Young has been a frequent guest on radio and television talk shows on issues such as infertility and is a popular lecturer on female healthcare.
